PROGRAMME
The VD Scholarship - Veena Devi Ji Scholarship is an initiative to democratise counselling for college admissions through Tads Education- Global Pioneers in Transformative Education Consulting. This scholarship is targeted towards helping high-achieving students from all around the world with end-to-end support for their undergraduate & graduate school applications, with expert admissions consulting services at a MAJOR FEE WAIVER or for FREE!
We believe that students, regardless of their financial backgrounds, should have an opportunity to nurture their intellect at some of the best universities in the world. We are offering full and partial fee waivers worth over INR 70,00,000/- to Tads Education’s Personal Counselling Program.
Why the VD Scholarship
Undergraduate and/or graduate school access is only a dream for many, even today.
A good education offers research and lucrative job opportunities that can drastically transform the trajectory of a student's life, more so for students from marginalised and financially weaker backgrounds. However, the cost of going to college, especially in the US, is the biggest barrier for most international students. For instance, the actual cost of completing an undergraduate degree at a top private university in the US is close to $400,000 cumulatively for 4 years and that of a postgraduate degree can cost upto $250,000 for 2 years. The hidden mandatory costs before applying can also range between $1000 to $5000, depending on the student's circumstances.
Personal mentorship throughout school/college and professional help on applications with graduates & professionals from Harvard, MIT, NUS, Stanford, Google, McKinsey, and so on is only a privilege for many, but it can radically improve a student's academic experience and in consequence, the undergraduate/graduate school where they end up at. This is exactly the problem we are trying to solve through the VD scholarship.
VD Scholarship has and will enable hundreds of students to accomplish their dreams by getting invaluable personal mentorship to students who might not be able to afford it.
The Inspiration
Veena Devi Ji has been the epitome of promoting education, spiritual vitality, and kindness for the years she lived. As a keen reader, her education and work enabled everyone around her to seek betterment. As a philanthropist, she always believed in equal opportunities and exposure for young individuals. Even after getting diagnosed with fourth-stage cancer, she never let cancer stop her from doing social good. This scholarship is a tribute to her and her countless endeavours that will guide all of us to live for kindness.
What kind of support do
vd scholars receive?
VD Scholars will be offered either a full or a partial scholarship towards the complete Personal Counselling Program for Undergraduate and Postgraduate applicants.

Undergraduate Applicants
1. Full Scholarship Award
INR 4,50,000 (Asian Students) and USD 9500 (International Students) for 12th Graders/Gap Year Students
INR 6,00,000 (Asian Students) and USD 15000 (International Students) for 11th Graders
2. Partial Scholarship Award
INR 2,50,000 (Asian Students) and USD 4750 (Non-Asian Students) for 12th Graders/Gap Year Students
INR 3,50,000 (Asian Students) and USD 8500 (Non-Asian Students) for 11th Graders
Postgraduate Applicants
1. Full Scholarship Award
INR 5,50,000 (Asian Students) and USD 11500 (International Students) for 1-Year Personal Counselling Programme
2. Partial Scholarship Award
INR 3,50,000 (Asian Students) and USD 4750 (Non-Asian Students) for 1-Year Personal Counselling Programme
Note: Since there will be many applicants competing for the few spots of the full scholarship, please evaluate your financial circumstances and wisely choose between the full and partial scholarships. Applying for the partial scholarship will greatly improve your chances of admission as compared to the full scholarship.
Are you a right fit for the VD scholarship?
You must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible:
- Students must be applying to universities in the US, UK, Singapore, or Canada in the Undergraduate or Postgraduate Fall 2024 and 2025 application cycle.
- Students of all nationalities are permitted to apply.
- Students must not be working with a college counselling company already.
- Your family income is upto INR 50 LPA for Indian and Nepali students or within $75,000 for others globally.
To maximise your selection for the scholarship, you ideally should:
- Demonstrate strong extracurricular pursuit, research skills, leadership ability, a value system, and academic prowess.
- Not have any disciplinary suits in school.
- Demonstrate strong English-language proficiency.
- Show ambition and enthusiasm about reaching your dream universities globally.
Selection
Process
The application process for the VD Scholarship consists of 3 rounds. Best performing candidates in each round will move to the next one.
